Potato in White strips away the vibrant pigments to explore the raw beauty of form and texture.
The Vessel: Earthly Minimal
The body of the vase is an intentional departure from symmetry. Its asymmetrical, bulbous form mirrors the erratic growth of a tuber pulled from the earth. The surface is treated with a matte, chalk-white finish, evoking the coolness of limestone or pale clay. Dark, stippled indentations are scattered across the "skin," creating a rhythmic, weathered texture that honors the beauty of natural imperfection.
The Crown: Glacial Architecture
In place of the "Air Dragon’s" prismatic fire, this piece features a monochromatic explosion of fused white glass.
Tonal Depth: The shards alternate between opaque milk-glass and semi-translucent frost, creating a complex interplay of light.
Structural Shadow: Without color to distract the eye, the focus shifts entirely to the jagged geometry of the collar. The sharp, crystalline edges cast deep, architectural shadows against the soft curves of the base.
